The finance saved in F1 could be used to continue Goodyear's policy of buying up small regional tire companies around the world to gain market share, rather than trying to win over the general public with racing success. The policy will also avoid the possibility that Goodyear would be defeated by one of its rivals - which would be embarrassing after so many years of success.

Considering every car is allotted 13 sets of tyres per Grand Prix, as declared by Formula 1, the money spent on them is heavy. The total manufacturing process for each tyre takes approximately five hours. F1 tyres are filled with nitrogen as it is more stable than air and behaves predictably even when the temperature varies.
Formula One has released its race start times for the season and announced an end to races starting at 10 minutes past the hour. Liberty also decided to push starts back to 10 minutes past the hour to help broadcasters better schedule their pre- race programming.
