Where is rivendares deathcharger
It's better to simply run unstealthed past mobs much of the time but at others its simply impossible. Don't push your luck and just stealth by them. It's better than standing there and not moving but it is MUCH better than getting 7 mobs on you in the middle of the street and dying.
Avoid the trap at all costs. The rat trap is not fun for a class with no AoE. Not only does it take a long time to clear but it takes a toll on your health. To recover from the hits you took youll have to eat and use up another 20 seconds. We have 2 ways to avoid it however! It is a common tactic to sprint past the closing gates and vanish on the other side. However it is much less known that you can stealth into the trap, hide in the nook on the side, and not agro the bugs at all.
After 10 seconds or so the gates open and you can stealth out pest free. Finally, don't give up! With the new drop rate this is a much easier grind and eventually your mount WILL drop.
Keep at it Baron Slayers and happy hunting. Comment by MetalGenocide It appears that with 3. From 1 in to about 1 in This, imo, has lowered the overall effect of the Deathcharger as its far more common now. Kind of a kick in the shins for those like myself who spent many, many months trying to get it and still never dropped. Its lost that 'Wow' factor. Oh well, one can only hope that another rare item comes along that can give that wow factor. Comment by Hello everyone here trying to farm Deathcharger.
I am personally at 50 runs post 3. Here is what I do and you can use it as a guide if you are a hunter wanting to try and get the mount. Runs are done in PvP gear for more stamina running from ziggurat to ziggurat. I am an Orc Hunter and what I do is go in the back door obviously , dismiss my pet, and run straight to Baroness don't call your pet for the fight just DPS her down.
Than I pop a swiftness potion and run to the spider boss and feign death, call my pet and DPS him down than I dismiss my pet for the run to the mage. If you are fast enough going through the gate where all the insects pop out you can get by before the gate closes you in.
Feign death next to the mage and DPS him down. Pop another swiftness potion and run to the Slaughter House. You can kill the Magistrate Barthilas if you so choose. His stun can make the fight annoying at times, easy to get though. The massive army of non elite undead can just be taken out in a couple volleys now that it is an actual AoE. Than it's time for the main character of the show: Baron Rivendare. He is very easy for a hunter, just send your pet in and have him tank, set out an explosive trap for when he summons the 6 adds volley or the Stratholme holy water works too you want to kill them asap because he will sacrifice them and he will gain life back.
Other than that, it is basically a tank 'n spank. Good luck getting your very own Deathcharger. Comment by is it 1 in server kills or not? Comment by jvaski Here's another pro tip for people farming this.
When Ramstein comes out the door you can simply charge through it while it's open. The door will close but you'll be inside. Kill him and the five blackguards will spawn. This method saves killing the millions of skeletons, but more importantly it lets you skip the long wait for the blackguards to come out. EDIT: note that the door will remain closed because you didn't kill the skeletons.
Comment by Mortenz The door opens after you engage Baron. However the door to barons room closes until Baron is dead. Comment by nirv Just dropped for me today! Two things were different this time: 1 I pasted the item link from wowhead and linked it in party chat as my friend arrived. About 8 seconds. Dropped our first Strat run in 3 days. Comment by Hunters and Rogues: Best tips for quick run.
Both hunters and rogues have high dps and a drop aggro ability. For running this, enter service entrance and just run potions help a lot. When you get to a ziggaraut, feign death or vanish to drop all aggro'ed mobs. Rogues sometimes have trouble if they pick up a few of the stealth detectors near a ziggaraut, but the ones that followed for a while will be running out of aggro range before it activates.
Hunters, dismiss your pet and just call him for the bosses, except baroness, of course. I have a 61 rogue now, and I use this tactic when running with my 70 hunter friend. It hardly ever fails. Mages: I have run this with a 70 mage before. She bubbled, blinked, and ran to ziggaraut. Once there, she AoE'd the entire group following her.
Then, she just anhillated the bosses and waited for her cooldowns. Kind of unorthodox, but effective. I have seen the mount drop on Exodar-US server. I then began to hate myself for getting 3 others that wanted a run. Come on. Make sure if you are running as a group that people are rolling Greed. Comment by HelmedHorror I just got my deathcharger. It took 72 runs Comment by This has to drop for an endgame Death Knight, the original Deathcharger for the most badass Death Knight on any server.
Comment by Just got this today on my second run. I love it and it is definately worth trying to get for anyone who wants a rare unique mount. The posts above are very helpful in obtaining this. Good luck and less miserable farming 8. Comment by Damn this is easy to farm at First time after the 1 in drop, but did over pre drop buff.
You can skip alot of the mobs there. And with SoW or SoL up, you can pull the whole abomination room at once easilly. Just keep at it. Now all I need is the Runeblade Comment by This rumor is not true, as of November 29, It dropped for me on the first of an assumed 10 runs for the evening.
The Naxxramas Mount however, is still unconfirmed, to my knowledge. Comment by runs, 2 Runeblades, 0 mounts. This is taking random loot to an extreme. Comment by Seems like the doors no-longer lock you out if you skip the skeleton pack for a faster run, they now open when you slay Baron.
That's the same spec I used for leveling and I find it clears Strat amazingly. I skip literally ever trash pull with some careful effort, only stopping to kill the three ziggaraut bosses. I have my runs down to about minutes from gate to Baron death.
Edit: 47 runs and it dropped, I almost hyperventilated. Comment by XanDiesel runs pre-patch, no dice. Towards the end I stopped looting entirely.
The amount of gold I looted since the patch doing almost entirely Baron runs was nearly 1, gold. The gold I made from vendoring trash was nearly 2, and the gold I earned from AH'ing the enchanting materials I got from DE'ing everything is over 5,g. Happy to finally have it after runs.
Comment by Dropped for me on my 36th run on russian realm. Good luck guys :P. Even in my terrible gear I had no troubles killing any of the bosses as a protection warrior. Your biggest worry is definitely the gargoyles and the eyes. What happens in this instance is that all the mobs have huge social aggro radiuses so if you accidentally grab one creature chances are it'll bring like 10 others with it. If you can't kill them fast enough it snowballs and you end up dead.
ALSO, I don't know if it's just me but if you die and try to complete the run you'll get stuck in slaughter square after all the aboms are dead. Rammstein never shows up. It's a bug with the instance. If you die just reset.
Here's a video of me running this. It's pretty slow but oh well: Clicky! Comment by Its defiantly rare.. I want it for my druid. Easy solo for a lvl 80 feral druid with mostly blues and some epics.
Atlasloot says its a 0. Comment by Xaith If you're a rogue you can do 15 minute baron runs to farm this mounts. The most time consuming things are: Abominations in front of the Slaughterhouse Enter via the service entrance and pass the two groups of skeletons on the left side you can do this even without stealth on level 80 , get through the gates and walk straight forward to the Baroness.
Stealth up to her if you have to, but normally you can avoid aggro now that you're Kill the Baroness she doesn't hit hard and her spells usually miss you , kill all the acolytes. Takes under a minute. Continue your way to either the spider or the mage boss, doesn't really matter.
Use stealth if needed, but beware the stealth-detecting ghouls and the patrolling gargoyles. Kill the second boss, continue to the third. You'll most likely pass the trap with the bugs in it.
Wait for all bugs to surround you, then use Fan of Knives to get rid of them. Kill the third boss, make your way to the Slaughterhouse via stealth or without if you are experienced enough kill the Magister on your way if you want some extra blues. Now, take your time to kill all the abominations and use Fan of Knives to kill the Bile Slimes coming out of the Bile Spewers after killing them. Kill the last abomination in front of the Slaughterhouses entrance and hop into it as soon as the door opens.
Kill Ramstein and be prepared for the 5 Blackguards which will instantly spawn don't bother with the hordes of skeletons, they won't aggro since you're inside Clear the Blackguards Eat if needed, engange the Baron. Use Fan of Knives should he spawn his minions. Loot, hope for mount. Rinse and repeat. Comment by Inorite? I'm soooooo tired of people posting like, "lol tihs is suposed 2 be rare but I got last nite in 2 killz lol wut iz it worth?
I hope I get lots 4 it in teh AH, lolz I mean, I understand people getting excited but you're wasting space prattling on about something useless on a forum meant to contribute useful information. Comment by I ran it tonight with my friend just for the heck of it, not really even thinking it would drop, I almost fainted when I saw it drop on the first run. We both rolled, I won. It seems silly, but I feel like I've achieved something great.
Comment by I'm just letting you guys now that it still drops. Got it today just about 5 mins ago. Took "only" kills. I wish whoever hunts it, good luck! Few pointers: -Didnt kill swarm of skellies but afterwards. I killed Ramstein inside the barons house and the elite skellies right after. The insects follow you, but they dont aggro any mobs.
This makes it a little bit faster. Some Tips: If any Warlocks are going to attempt this, I highly suggest you got Destruction for an extra powerful punch that will kill most mobs in Hits. I only used my Voidwalker on two bosses, Rammstein and Baron. Edit: Be sure to bring your Argent Dawn Commission along if you want to raise rep.
For the Achievement, obviously. Got the mount after dozens of runs with a friend. Soloing the dungeon as a protection warrior is easy. Simply keep using devastate, revenge, and shield slam. Use Thunderclap when absolutely necessary. For the Spider boss, hold up at one of the corners near the door so that when he nets you, he'll run out of LoS, run back to you, run back out of LoS, and will continue this until he dies.
For the Banshee, make sure that all of your friends are out of the LoS for the banshee; if you get an LoS error when trying to attack, you're good. For a 75 warrior, I took maybe 2 hits MAX from the banshee, and for around damage each lol 14k unbuffed. The Frost boss is cakewalk since he's even weaker.
The Abominations are nothing for a prot warrior with heals. Without a healer, simply do 1v1. It's fast and easy. Ramstein can be annoying since he CAN stun you, but it's not common. For the undead zerg, simply round em all up and shockwave once. As for baron, just charge in, devastate, revenge, shield slam, repeat. For the skeletons, just thunderclap once and focus on Baron.
He's got a ton of hp, but he hits weaker than ramstein. If you are farming rep, try to worm your way through the mobs and fight only the bosses and abominations. It's possible to finish baron runs in under 12 minutes as a prot warrior with my level of gear. As a great muppet once said, "Do, or do not. There is no try. Comment by Just in case any of you are still wondering this drops.
Dropped for me on my 8th run. Wished it came to me not as easy :X. Comment by exous Damm, this grind sucks ass on my 63rd run now and i am starting to loss all hope lol I am a 80 DK and doing the runs in about mins Comment by Been grinding for around a week or so now, up to runs and no mount as of yet - had a runeblade a while back.
As a rogue, runs take me around minutes, longest bit is the abominations before Ramstein. Best of luck to everyone else that is grinding for the mount, hoping that mine will drop sometime soon..
Comment by 28 kills then it came for me. Comment by Demonicplate93 wow I must be lucky I got it in like 6 trys Comment by One of the most epicly hard to get drops Deathcharger's reins. Comment by Alliance Shadow Priest - farming it it's a bit furstraiting maybe you can advice me please - 57 runs no drop - 1 of it means that when i'll do runs I get one for sure? Comment by Phineasbogg If your chance of flipping a coin and getting heads is 1 in 2, does that mean that flipping a coin twice guarantees it'll come up heads?
Of course not. Think of the Baron's mount as 1 side of a sided coin. Comment by Lorekin As a tauren player since WoW's release I have dreamed of owning this mount because of the sheer rarity of a cow riding one of the skeletal mounts. Sadly, solo farming this was a challenge, even at 70, as a moonkin and it was hard to gather a consistent group of friends to aid me. At level 74 I took a break from questing and ended up finding my way to EPL.
I spent about a week living in Stratholme and not being a hardcore player I would log in for an hour or two every night and stealth run the instance times. After my third run tonight I got it! This accomplishment is made a little less epic by the mount restrictions for tauren being lifted in the upcoming patch and the droprate of this mount being boosted with the xpac, but oh well!
It's mine and I am one happy little cowgirl! I'm moonkin spec and was running itt about minutes each. For starters: Warrior, Human, level 74 now 75 Fury build, Titan's Grip dual 2h weapons Average quest level greens and blues Okay, so I've done this run about 30 times so far with no luck.
Understandable with a 1 in drop rate. But I do have some suggestions to make it go a little faster - at least for someone with relatively high health. I'm not going to bore you with the "go in and stick to the left" stuff. This is simply dealing with the final abominations and the Baron.
Kill the abominations as fast as you can for speed of runs. I find simply making sure the last one I kill is the one on the far, far left. A bile spewer if I recall. I had Ramstein bug out once. Since using this method it has not happened after 25 or so runs. When you fight the last one, move to the door where Ramstein comes out. The door will close with you inside.
After Ramstein dies, the 5 elites will spawn. Kill them I use my Retaliation as a warrior Kill the Baron. I save my Whirlwinds for the skeleton adds. By rushing Ramstein before he leaves his spawn point you do NOT have to fight all the non-elite undead.
Which, personally, I found to be the hardest part of the whole run. They spawn, but with the door closed they cannot get to you. Be aware they do not despawn after killing the Baron, so if you have to go back out which I rarely do you will have to fight them. Comment by To all the Tauren players out there i just wanted to quote an upcoming change to mounts from the Test realm patch notes.
Night elves on mechanostriders? Tauren on raptors? Comment by Hellsbelle Tauren have been able to use raptors for a very long time. It's like Vanessa Feltz riding a shetland pony. Comment by Took me 4 days of farming this mount to finally get it. The runs were probable around minutes Comment by Falu Up to 26 runs with no drop so far.
Gonna keep working at it. Runs only take me roughly 6 minutes, so it's not too bad. Gl to all who are farming. Comment by Just got the mount on 6th run. BM Hunter. Being horde orc to be precise I really can't say that lowers the value of the mount itself.
I remember being lvl60 back in the days when baron could barely be done, this just feels like a retribution : edit: go get it everyone, for old times sake!
Comment by Just finished my st run since patch and obviously still no mount.. Edit: th run I got to see purple.. Comment by grgg dropped for me after 21 runs post 3. Not seen the sword either. Comment by Hellsbelle Run no. Wasn't expecting it at all, I had it in my head that it would be more blue trash. Like previous posts state, it really does drop when you least expect it. Good luck to all those still farming. Keep your chins up and it will happen.
Comment by Hm.. I have done Stratholme 60 times in 3 days now, and no drop for me. Comment by For those who think running it times gets you the mount, that's not how probability works. As an example, a friend of mine who plays a tauren hunter and I troll shaman have been running this repeatedly off and on since we hit Happy Hunting. Comment by SHPepsicraver This mount is still pretty hard to get but the drop rate was moved up in 3. Since my main is a tauren it is very hard to get mounts and this is the only undead looking horse one we can get so i believe it should only go to taurens.
Rep has no effect on the drop rate also. Happy Farming. Comment by Kholdstare For a level 80 Marksmanship hunter, I find this to be a very easy run. Kill a boss, Volley on the cultist in the middle, rinse and repeat.
Volley's range is just big enough to hit all the cultists and likely kill them in one cast, so that speeds things up a lot. Same deal with all the abominations, just aggro a bunch and AoE them down. I run into the Then I just reset the instance outside as a ghost, and start all over again. Good luck to everyone. Comment by Fallerup as a blood DK lvl 80 this is cake, even if you happen to run into patrols, you just death strike when ready and other abilities to keep your hp up I do: baroness, anub, malki, take the "boss" in the corner as well.
There is a limit to how fast you can do this. I cleared all the aboms and ramstein and the zerg of mobs coming after and had to wait a min or 2 before the guards came out, so, there is a limit to how fast this can go after you get to the aboms at least. I prefer to do it in 20'ish min. CD, using this on baron brings him down within 5 sec.
I had 2 min. CD on my army last run, so I tried without it, it took long as his mobs heal him when they are killed by his aoe, so.. EDIT: last run of the evening, 13 min. I must have done at least by now or very close to it and still no mount:. Comment by MythikKnight Just finished my 45th run, still no drop. Guess I just got to keep running til it drops. Comment by Mikisha As lvl 80 balance druid its a very easy solo-speedrun. Mobs' agro range is very small, no stealth is required.
You only kill zigurrat bosses, and at the end abos, skellys, ramstein etc. The Baron fight itself is like seconds. My current record for the whole run is 13mins, but I was wasting a lot of time with stealthing. Don't stealth, if you still agro, pop barkskin, hurricane, and everything dies around you. Comment by If you're like me and hate farming for specific items, try to use other factors to motivate you.
Don't expect it to drop! You can't be disappointed if you have no expectations! Instead I suggest the following: 1. If you aren't already, aim for Argent Dawn rep. You get I believe over rep per run roughly. If you use the Argent Dawn Trinket it goes up to over with scourgestones.
Put the Argent Dawn rep bar above your experience bar and it gives you something tangible to work at. Use this as a money making venture. This is an easy way to make gold. Depending on your server, shards can be a gold mind if not, vendoring is still on average 30g per run.
Some items to keep an eye out for: - BOE Set pieces: You get a lot of gloves and belts doing this - Runecloth: At least 3 stacks per run on average - Essence of Undeath: Not a regular drop but if you farm for a while you may end up with a few. These sell well on some servers.
Put them in stacks of 30 on the AH to maximise profit. Related to money making venture, you end up looting a decent about of gold from mobs. You can motivate yourself to working towards the gold looting achievements. Sort of a last resort though as those are really slow. Instead of selling Runecloth, you can use them to work your reputations with your cities. This is really useful if you're going for the Mount achievements. You will get thousands of runecloth doing these runs.
Keep your bags clear. With just my hearthstone in the inventory, I could do 4 runs before having to head back to LHC to clear stuff. Some items are just better to throw away to save you from making trips to vendor stuff. On many servers Ichors of Undeath are trash and should just be destroyed. Things like Nightcrawlers, Food, Water and Spider parts the grey stuff don't vendor for more than a couple silver and are more effective to destroy than to take up inventory space.
Making fast runs makes this less painful. A lot of comments here talk about their quick runs. I found however that whenever I tried to make a really quick run, I end up making mistakes and pulling mobs which slowed me down, making the run longer. Make a route, get used to it but don't try to rush too much. Accidents via rushing defeat the whole purpose.
I got mine after 49 runs making over g in the process. Comment by Rastasoldier Just got mine, Run No. Hope was getting grim and I was honestly considering to stop farming. It was my last run of the day, and I just glanced at the loot and stared at it for about 15 seconds. Goodluck to everyone else farming. It is a very cool mount and feels great when you finally get it. Comment by Ruzan People, this is not your personal blog, nor the forums.
No one cares weather or not you got yours, or how many attempts it took you to get it. Comment by Bloodi Merry Christmas Bloodi!
My eyes were bleeding after i saw the little horse graphic pop up. Needless to say I am happy and I with those on farming jobs the best of luck you could have. It ain't right. It WILL drop! Comment by i got bored on my 80 DK, so i decided to go for this mount. God has officially said i'm better than you. Comment by Ok I am really curious. Including the time at 70 at 80 the runs were taking only about 10min so :P I spent nearly 30 hours non stop grinding before my mount droped ZOMG it actually dropped!
So yea outta curiousity I was asking everone with it and the most anyone needed was 40 runs it seems. Average around Added to this all these posts on wowhead about first runs I really wish that this mount only dropped from exalted with Argent Dawn.
That way you know people worked for it.. I mean my char I got it on is exalted and not from doing the qs, just from grinding that instance. I couldnt count how many runs I did before the patch..
That is something that I having spent a grand total of easily over 3 days of my life non stop grinding for that mount would not have been able to do I told those that wanted help getting through the instance at different levels, belive me I have my experience in there that I will take them once I have it.
Untill then I couldnt take anyone else because I had gone enough times and I could easily solo it Damn I hate that instance, I love it but damn do I hate it Comment by Hey Evry time i kill all the abnomation Things They respawns and whwn i killd the second ''wave'' on Abnomations only a few about Spawns killd em.. Comment by krasher I got my mount today after about 20 or 30 runs. At 80, I got the runs down to about 7 minutes as a protection warrior.
My path was as follows: 1 Spider boss first, no need to kill anything. Zag right past the casters, then back left between the ghost and the spider.
Tuck into the corner so when he roots you he doesn't have anywhere to stand and hit you from range. I take out him and the adds on his steps at the same time to save time. Target him, use thunderclap and shockwave every time they are up and everything dies fast. Since there is no possible way to determine what a boss drops before it's actually dead, you simply have to maw through every single ID of Stratholme that the RNG offers you upon entering until you end up in one that rewards you with the mount.
Last note of encouragement: I know how tedious farming this mount can get, but don't give up. Eventually, the mount WILL appear and when it does so, you'll feel that all the time you've put down on farming it was worth the effort.
Good Luck! Comment by TheDash Currently on my th run, still no mount to date. Comment by some of you are going to hate me, but i just had to share Comment by Chodgra Dropped for me yesterday See you Comment by mavliek this is indeed a rare drop.. Comment by Achloryn all i can think after i kill him and get nothing is "FML".
Comment by RazorRowe We farmed Stratholm just once When it droped my group leader was like "omfg" and i said OMG COOL" and all 5 of us needed and i was in my chair litterally crossing my fingers and i won! So yea Comment by i'm a lvl 80 human warrior and baron runs were pretty easy for me as protection it took me 13 runs to get it, did some runs one evening and got it the first thing next morning to everyone farming this mount i have some advices: - don't give up!
Comment by USRadamanthys Just made an account because I promised myself I would post this when this mount dropped for me. But, now, I have it. That's all I have to say. I have it. I want this post to give hope to those players who have lost count on the undead minions they have killed, or that already know the location of every rat and crate of Stratholme, farming this mount.
Don't give up. You will get it someday Comment by I got this on my hunter today after my 95th run. Almost made me cry when I saw it in the loot panel. Comment by Ran this instance way too many times After running this too many times, all I can say is: Screw the mount.
It isn't worth the effort. Don't even try getting it. If you get it by luck on your first few rounds for whatever other reasons you're in the instance, then good for you. Anyone who does have it will say, "Oh, don't worry, keep trying I'll stick to the laughably easier BG mounts. Comment by runs and still no mount :.
Comment by DragmaKerp I'm starting to think the drop is bugued or something like that and I'll never get the mount. I'll keep trying, but trys are too much trys I think. While I'm writing this I'm doing the try number , but I don't think it will drop. Comment by I got last night on Baron Kill Number ! Comment by and no mount Comment by 2seconds Out of shear luck i got this on the run i did for the achievement today, to my pleasant surprise it looks so awesome with my resto shaman gear i think ill rarely use any other mount.
I had run the day before for the achievement but out of curiosity and because it was taking so long for the next set of mobs to come out just before the last boss i went past the gates where the mass of undead weaklings spawn and got trapped having to hearth out Comment by I know you are gonna hate me now :D But!
Comment by Is it just me or is stratholme a maze or something? I finnally figured uot just turn right at every turning point except the one where it leads to the chapel near the service entrance.. I have only done it about 25 times so hopefully i will get it When it dropped I was like "wuuuut! Comment by Got it today on my 53rd try. Comment by runs so far. I made about 15k looting, selling Runecloth and greens on the ah, vendoring the blues, and sellling a few pristine black diamonds, and so I treated myself to a tundra mammoth.
What you do with the money is your business, but you will make loads : Just see it as farming greens and blues to vendor and getting rich. You get into a routine. But after a few runs I set my hearth to Light's Hope. It saves SO much time. Feral Night Elf druids are really well placed to farm this. You can steath when needed usually when a gargoyle is about to tag you , you can run ahead and shadowmeld, you have Feral Swiftness to speed things up, and I would highly recommend speccing into Nurturing Instinct so you can hot yourself up if need and also get the Glyph of Dash - that allows you to use Dash twice before Rivendare and once to run out.
To non-Druids, just avoid the gargoyles. They are the ones that will really ruin the fun of farming this. If you pull something, do not run away, just kill it asap.
Engineers will have fun using nitro boots to get out so long as the spiders dont web you , and rogues can sprint and then vanish so long as you are a goos distance ahead of ghouls who can see stealth. Priests will find this easy using Fade. As many people have said, for each mini-ziggaurat, run in and pull the first acolyte, and then round to the last, and aoe them. Dont loot them.
Only loot mini-bosses and rivendare, as the loots sells for a bit more. When you get to the slaughterhouse, round up the aboms and aoe them down, then run in and kill ramstein and the black guards. This saves a lot of time. Save your cooldowns for rivendare because he has a bit more health and there is no point using any cooldown for anything else in there. I got each run down to about 8 mins. I had Dash and Feral Swiftness and Shadowmeld etc which helped.
Some classes may find it easier and some less easy, but you will get it eventually, whether after 20 or runs. Just enjoy it and have lots of breaks. I found the 5 runs per hour lockout a bit of a godsend because it forces you to have break or log and do a random or something like that. Comment by Just got mine after Baron kills. Comment by gingercat Just got this in on first try, was running some low levels through and got it. Comment by Can you link your armory please?
Comment by mystica Lvl 80 Human Paladin. Comment by I'm truly sorry for all the people still running for this, don't give up. I got it on around my third run in my lifetime along with some nice t10 legs in VoA that I didn't even know could drop.
Anythings possible. Comment by It is notable that far more people who got in 1 or 2 runs post here than people who got it in runs! But I am a grinder and proud of it! Comment by and still counting. Comment by second run through here with my priest and it dropped. All you need is the two level somethings main and referred plus an 80 that can run them through. Not only that, there's always the chance for the mount to drop.
I got mine once randomly while doing this for my fiance and his brother. Comment by denuul Watch out, this mount kills friendship! My mate is up till his 60th try or something, and I just looted it after 16 kills. You can probably guess he had his murdering face on. Comment by Eletras I decided to farm Strat for Argent Dawn reputation, and this mount dropped for me on my first Rivendare kill! On my alt, I had probably ran the place over 50 times hoping for it to drop, but it never did, and I gave up.
Strange that my mage got on the first try - I am usually an unlucky person. Comment by I have done this place probably times so far, throughout the last month or so, and no mount. It has kind of become obsessive, as I really want to get the mount. I found myself trying times in a row sometimes.
The good thing is I can complete a run in about minutes, depending on if I accidentally pull any unneeded mobs. I have slowly dropped down to doing only runs a day was doing , got so tedious. Comment by Just got my mount on my lvl50 Priest, I was thrilled, after farming so many mounts on my main I'd forgot about some of the drops. Also means I dont have to dish out the funds to buy the bear mount or the time to farm rep with another home city to avoid using that god-awful Elekk.
Maybein 4 runs or so--unintentional so I didn't count. Think I may have bust a few eardrums over Vent when I got it. Now I just need to get those drakes from cata Maybe i can make them go deaf. Comment by MysteryMits I feel like a very lucky person Level 43 Druid, dropped on my first run.
And i won it.. Comment by Xavicus I just posted my 5th Rivendare deathcharger. Comment by Kylig Got it on my rogue yesterday after runs! Comment by kaexo I ran it about 75 times. I started recording the runs around the 30th time. I figured I might as well record it when it dropped and see how fast it was.
It finally dropped on a flawless run in just under 6 minutes. No glitching and I only killed one mob that wasn't required to unlock the Baron. I'm throwing it up onto YouTube because of all the people who have farming videos with no drop.. Comment by runs Comment by Got this yesterday in my Satchel of Exotic Mysteries from healing a random Zandalari heroic. First time I've seen anything other than pointless potions and boring pets in the satchel!
Unfortunately I was so shocked that I forgot to take a screenshot, but if you want proof then look up Noxious of EU-Shadosong on the Armory and you'll see that she has Deathcharger's Reins but has never done Stratholme. During that same time, the sword dropped 3 times. There is one thing - and only one - you need: persistence. As always, it pays off. Comment by counterhero Decided to run it today. Haven't ran it at all since cata hit. Second time in It dropped. Comment by Wutdafuh One day I was farming rep in stratholme and I wasn't going to do the end boss but then I said ah screw it i might get the mount.
What do you know it drops on a. Comment by this was the first mount i went out of my way to farm for, after about runs it dropped, i have never been more happy with a drop since!
Comment by Pochert Been farming this a long time on my Druid, and today i got it on my alt im levling xD. Comment by Got this on my 2nd run The pally in the group almost ragequit the game lol.
He need rolled on my Hunter Cape that also dropped and left lol I think the cape is slightly easier to get so I'm happy. The run was sloppy. No special way to run it. Comment by Got the mount after at least 11 tries on my DK. I got extremely lucky. Comment by blkwdowtattoo I have ran Strat over 1, times now.
Still no luck in getting this mount from Baron. My luck sucks at getting drops for mounts and pets in the game. Hoping this post will change mu luck.. Comment by Just got It about an hour ago. Still comes with the Feat of Strength cheeve.
Got mine in around runs and consider myself very lucky. I have guildies who have run this for years and still nothing. Now next raid night when they taunt me with the brewfest kodo, who I have been after for 3 years, I'll pop this bad boy and smite their efforts! Comment by I did this on my Lv. Comment by Just got this, Took me runs and dropped four Baren Runeblades. Average of runs per day It will drop. My first grind presented this mount after 32 runs. My second presented it after The most important thing to remember is not to burn yourself out.
Do 5 runs a day and then call it. It is easy to get frustrated after a few runs but don't. Remember, every kill offers a chance for this mount and it only takes one.
Comment by robbiedehand Currently just completed run but no luck yet did have 4 swords drop since run scaring the cr p out of me everytime. Ah well lucky i got jevees and a mailbox so atleast ill end up with vendor blues and disenchant green so it not totally bad to run then just the instance lockout is a pain since run is about min for me.
It finally dropped on on friday the 13th so glad that grind is done. Comment by I ran just the part from the service entrance to rivendare a LOT so I thought to try something different.
So I ran it from the beginning of the instance, beat the first half then did the last half. Also this workedfor the raven lord. I ran the exact same way like 30 days in a row and then started going crazy on the place and killing things I dont normally kill and BAM raven lord droped.
Maybe the game knows if your farming or something so it sees you doing something out of "your ordinary" it rewards you.
BUT its purley speculation. Just adding my 2 cents. Comment by atintegulsno A little tip if you are farming this on a Death Knight.
Instead of running out of the instance you can use your Death Gate and fly from Ebon Hold back to the instance. It took me 1 min and 20 secs to get from Rivendare's room back to the portal without Glyph of Death Gate and On a Pale Horse When i ran out it took 1 min and 45 secs My only speed boost was Unholy Presence. Comment by Ive been farming for this mount for the past week on my rogue. Running through the instance isn't difficult but running it so many times and having to walk back just to reset the instance is beyond annyoing.
To keep me from losing hope I try to do other things when running this dungeon like championing classic rep and doing a dungeon after killing the boss so I have some fun and get teleported out of the dungeon. I havent checked how many runs ive done but im sure its about 1k Lol. To those of you who got it in the first 10 runs you're either lucky bastards or you need to stfu and stop pretending.
Comment by Unrealkill Just finished my 89th run with no mount drop, I've grown tired of this place. Comment by Run 47 and it finally dropped for me, was going to give up but the mount looks to cool.
Comment by gurumed Just got the mount at my th Baron kill! Comment by Funny story: Pre-Cata, I had a friend who constantly ran this instance in hopes of the mount dropping.
After about 80 or so runs, he asked if I wanted to come along. I of course agreed. He raged, but kept to his promise. So I got the mount on my first ever run there with my DK. It was pretty exciting. Comment by Took me only 8 runs with my Pally lvl85 lost count with my Hunter 85 Obtaining this mount awards the Feat of Strength [ Deathcharger's Reins ]. Wowpedia Explore. Main Page All Pages.
