Who is lemore

These are attributes that fit our soiled septa like a glove. Tyrion watched her closely. He had sniffed out the truth beneath the dyed blue hair of Griff and Young Griff easily enough, and Yandry and Ysilla seemed to be no more than they claimed to be, whilst Duck was somewhat less. Lemore, though. Who is she, really? Why is she here? What is this prince to her?

Was she ever a true septa? Duty, perhaps? The name Lemore sounds a lot like amore in Italian amor in Spanish or amour in French.

If Septa Lemore is indeed Elia Martell, then everything she is doing is out of love, duty and loyalty to her son. One interesting thing of note about Septa Lemore. If Lemore is Elia, then this must have been a significant event for her. As Tyrion put it, gods and wonders always appear to attend the birth of kings. Instead, she saves his life after he drowns, and takes care of him by bathing him in vinegar to try and keep the greyscale at bay.

She prays for him. And when he wakes up, she is so happy, that she hugs him. Lemore emerged on the deck with the prince in tow. When she saw Tyrion, she rushed across the deck to hug him. We have prayed for you, Hugor. When I posted this speculation over at westeros. Perhaps your head was larger than most. The same noise they make over cute kittens and playful puppies. I believe she wanted to nurse you herself, ugly as you were.

Elia felt affection toward infant Tyrion and there is affection in her interaction with Tyrion in the present day. It was the septa who took care of Tyrion after he almost died, not Haldon Halfmaester, the self-proclaimed healer of the band. If this is Elia, the odds are very good that like Oberyn, she remembers her meeting with Tyrion and what Cersei did to him. But Tywin also ordered the deaths of her children, so she might not even care that Tyrion did what he did.

There is a nice symbolic synergy here since the sun is part of the Martell sigil. Aegon and Elia were left disfigured after Gregor was through with them. Gregor Clegane is a brutal character, he is a beast. We know how he rapes and kills without remorse or a second thought. Gregor Clegane arrives in the nursery, finds a woman and an infant boy. Elia or another, what does it matter as long as he got to rape? You murdered her. You killed her children. He had some men-at-arms with him, but I do not know their names.

Oberyn gets a confession out of Gregor Clegane. Gregor dies later from the poison Oberyn used, but is brought back by Qyburn as the undead Ser Robert Strong. If Young Griff and Lemore are indeed Aegon and Elia, then Gregor is most certainly innocent of that charge, but he still murdered a woman and a baby in that royal nursery. He saw a woman there and assumed it was Elia and raped and killed her. If he was at the tourney at Harrenhal, then he might have seen Elia and knew the woman in the nursery was not her and still did his worst to her.

Maybe he was expecting that Elia would turn up with her daughter. Rhaenys is definitely an interesting case. Why was Rhaenys separated from them? I would think that Elia would have wanted her young daughter to be by her side. Princess Elia and the babe were in the nursery a floor below. That would have given them a window of approximately fourteen days.

And not for nothing, but the wildfire plot would have been the perfect cover for an escape. There is no need for body doubles. All Elia has to do is take her children and follow Varys through the tunnels and to freedom. The wildfire would take care of the rest. Meanwhile, Elia and her children would have gone to safety, presumed dead. And this is where the plan changes. Jon Snow has it, as well. Tyrion might not be ready to notice the details of a woman's attractiveness beyond her lack of clothes, but he would probably know a Stark if he saw one, particularly later, when he began trying to puzzle out her secret.

Tyrion is the sort of man who can recognize family resemblance. For that matter, why would Lyanna become a septa, even as a ruse? She was a Stark in every sense of the word; wouldn't we expect that to hold for her religion, as well? It's true that Ned Stark never explicitly remembers Lyanna dying, and therefore her continued existence remains a possibility, albeit a remote one.

It's also true that Lemore turning out to be someone previously thought long dead would be consistent with the stories of both Jon Connington and Aegon. However, there's just not enough to go on here to justify bringing a character like Lyanna back to life. The consequences of her death have been one the central beams holding up this story, and Septa Lemore is too flimsy of an excuse to knock it down without further evidence. While Ashara Dayne is similar as a candidate to Lyanna, in that both are believed deceased, her case is somewhat different.

The notion that Lemore is actually Ashara is a popular one, spurred on by the mysterious lack of detail surrounding both her life and her death. For the majority of the series, Ashara has been important primarily in the discussion of Jon Snow 's parentage. There is ample evidence to support the fact that Ned and Ashara were lovers in the past, and at one point Cersei Lannister boldly accuses Ned of driving Ashara to suicide by killing her brother and stealing their child.

Ashara is mentioned even earlier when Catelyn 's POV reveals that the dalliance between Ned and Ashara was once a popular rumor in Winterfell, and much later, when Arya meets Lord Edric Dayne , who does his best to confirm both the relationship between Ned and Ashara and the connection between Jon Snow and Starfall. But Ashara's daughter had been stillborn, and his fair lady had thrown herself from a tower soon after, mad with grief for the child she had lost, and perhaps for the man who had dishonored her at Harrenhal as well.

If I had unhorsed Rhaegar and crowned Ashara queen of love and beauty, might she have looked to me instead of Stark? This passage gives Ashara the child we don't know for sure she had, placing her in contention as the identity of Septa Lemore. We know now that Ned and Ashara did indeed have a child together From all appearances, a major name in the Jon debate has officially been ruled out.

But that's not what we're discussing here. Ashara Dayne was a lady of a noble house; she brought a child to term, if not a live one, which would account for Lemore's stretch marks. The question of age here is a curious one. If Tyrion is correct, Lemore would have been no younger than 21 had she appeared at the tourney of Harrenhal. Barristan describes her as "a young maiden, not long at court" and we know that Ned was 18 at the tourney. This would suggest Ashara as having been slightly younger than 21, so as to make her both closer in age to Ned and better in keeping with the presumed age of someone new to court.

However, this is hardly conclusive. We know Lyanna was younger than Ned, which hurts her case as Lemore. We don't know that Ashara wasn't older than Ned, which she very well could have been. The real crux of Ashara's case is the question of why she's not actually dead and what she's doing on the Shy Maid.

The fact that she threw herself from a tower is often mentioned but has never been confirmed, though Barristan's testimony is compelling.

Whereas Lyanna's death is both a key part of the story and was we believe personally witnessed by Ned Stark, Ashara is a more minor character with a connection to very few POVs, making it harder to confirm her demise. Did she throw herself from that tower? If so, is it possible she somehow survived the fall?

The Daynes are a Dornish house, which means that Ashara has connections to House Martell and their dragon-related ambitions. Does she fall into the same trap as Tyene 's mother in being too close to the Martells?

That's not very likely. House Dayne has not been given many appearances in this series, and with each passing book, it seems more and more that they are not major players in Sunspear. In A Storm of Swords , Podrick Payne identifies nine banners flown by the Dornishmen who have arrived at King's Landing, but none of them resembles a shooting star. No member of House Dayne has so far been seen at Doran Martell 's court.

In fact, of the three Daynes who have even been named in the series, one is Arthur Dayne , deceased; one is Lord Edric Dayne, last seen serving as Beric Dondarrion 's squire, and one is Gerold Dayne , also known as Darkstar, who has already proven that he is no friend to Prince Doran.

While House Dayne almost certainly remained loyal to the Targaryens during the rebellion, along with the rest of Dorne, it has not been prominent since.

As a result, the seeds are there from name alone for Ashara to be working for House Targaryen, but not in conjunction with House Martell. What about Ashara's personal motives? Ned Stark "dishonered" her at Harrenhal, giving her a stillborn child, then rebelled against her king and killed her brother. It's not unreasonable to think that she might have been out for a little social-political revenge, a chance that may have been offered her by Varys.

Did she agree to help raise Aegon Targaryen for the eventual overthrow of the kingdom Ned built with Robert Baratheon? Does her appearance as a septa represent atonement for what she perceives as a past sin in loving Ned, or is she perhaps using it to refute him and his northern gods? Ashara Dayne would be, without a doubt, the best candidate for Septa Lemore, if not for the problem of being dead.

Nonetheless, if you accept the arguments given earlier, along with the fact that she, Aegon and Connington would form a trio of rebirths, that's a problem you can get around. Another argument against Ashara is the striking nature of her "haunting purple eyes," as described by Barristan. The idea is that Tyrion would have remarked upon eyes like those, particularly after finding out about Aegon, who has similar eyes himself.

It's a solid line of thinking, and the only counter to it is the one about Tyrion not being in a state of mind to notice things like a woman's eye color. That, and the fact that the author's refusal to describe Lemore might be an attempt at not giving the game away.

On a similar but flimsier note, one could conceivably latch onto the fact that the one thing we're given about Lemore's physical appearance "her hair flowed loose about her shoulders" is worded similarly to Barristan's own memories of Ashara "her long dark hair tumbling about her shoulders".

Lemore is a tricky subject to analyze, but until we get more evidence, I'm standing pretty firmly on the Ashara bandwagon. It makes the most sense and it fits with the story, and the absence of any prominent members of House Dayne has been something of a mystery itself over the course of the series.

Lovely, lovely hotel with fantastic staff who went out of their way to make our stay a good one - even found us a fan so we didn't have to use the aircon. We were upgraded, but then decided to pay the extra for a suite which was worth the money. Fast and stable internet, nice pool and great fitness centre and sauna.

Close enough to be within less than a 5 minute walk from the beach but far back enough to mean we could sleep with the windows open for the nice sea breeze - traffic noise anywhere near busy roads in Vietnam is challenging, and the main road through Nha Trang is the deafeningly noisy beach road. Construction around, but we didn't notice any noise, dust or other disruption from it.

Breakfasts were very good - we were advised that the tour groups are in for breakfast early so waiting until 8am was perfect and no problems at all. We head horror stories about Chinese tour groups but we didn't bother them, they didn't bother us.

Highly recommended, we will go back again. It is definitely a great pleasure to receive positive feedback and we shall share your comments with the team.

We strive to continuously provide exceptional services and I am sure that your feedback will be an encouragement to all the team. We are looking forward to welcoming you soon. Regards, Le More Hotel team. Really enjoyed it. I want to come back in nha trang, and surely I will choose le more again.

First of all, would like to thank the hotel management for accepting my request to have the rooms decorated in conjunction with our anniversary celebration.

Also, they upgraded our rooms to a sea view room. If you wanna have a view of the sea partial view , it would be good if you take the high levels room but still there are blockages from other buildings.

The location is strategic where shops are all around the area. With bike, we can easily travel around but there's no bike rental service in the hotel they provide free parking for bikes though. The staffs are friendly and helpful especially Jack, at the reception.

He speaks fluent english and is really friendly and patient. He tried all his best to help us find the best spa in town when a few are already fully booked when he called. The service is superb.
